


In the past, Pokemon were only used for a few roles in monster-catching RPGs. The storyline in the game is more action-packed and less story-driven. Pokemon Ranger: Nexomon is different from the typical monster-catching and dungeon-crawling RPGs you may be accustomed to. The storyline of this PC game is excellent, and I enjoyed playing it. Unlike traditional monster-catching RPGs where you would have to catch monsters to level your tamer, in Nexomon Extinction, you will be required to do a lot of traveling throughout different regions of the Pokemon universe. To do this, you must trek through dungeons and go through battles with giant monster-like Pokemon.

In this game, you are to prevent the extinction of all Pokemon in existence. The storyline of the game is a bit different from your typical monster-catching RPG.

Throughout your journey, you will be battered and stung by wild Pokemon, traded with other trainers, caught by wild tamers, and challenged by other trainers. Throughout your gameplay, you will be asked numerous questions that will affect your decisions regarding battle strategies and which Pokemon you want to use. This time around, you can view your Pokemon in action and be able to view their abilities. Nexomon Extinction occurs in ‘real time’ like the original Pokemon games, where you can see your Pokemon interact with the environment.
